This year is going to be one grand and special year for me and my husband. Fact is, we will be celebrating our 13 years as a couple next month and in April, we will be celebrating our 10th Wedding Anniversary. With two beautiful and awesome daughters, we are very grateful and fulfilled as parents. What makes this year grander and more special though is that we will be getting our first house, finally! That’s right, after 10 years of being married, we have managed to survive via apartment lifestyle with all the limited possibilities of beautifying our home but one goal that we will realize for this year is a house property that we can really call “our own”. Hopefully, in the summer or before this year ends!
All three of us are actually getting excited with the house hunting and the entire planning. The husband will mind the yard, I’ll tackle the interior decorating and the choice for furniture and every detail inside, while the older daughter has asked if she can choose her own theme for her room and her little sister’s. One of the things that will have a part in the interior decorating of our soon home will be wall decals. Ten long years of apartment lifestyle has taught me to be patient and at the same time creative amidst the many prohibitions that we have as mere tenants. I know it is still too early to tell but when getting a house of your own is the current subject, I guess you understand the thrill.
