A-Snap-A-Day 2014

So, the first month of the year just passed by on us! Any accomplishment so far at your end? I know I don’t have one to brag except for great health for my family and little personal successes that need not be shouted out. A couple nurse friends here always tell me how tough things are at their workplace for having too many patients– young and old, who have been hard-hit with the flu bug. Their units have been restless and it is not fun for sure. I could only give a huge sigh of relief for having all four of us survived the very cold January feeling healthy and upbeat. Thank God for the blessings of good health!

This morning, we woke up to a gorgeous glittering sights of the snow outside through our living room window. We have another snow forecast today and tonight and although we want to whine about it, we could not deny the beauty of total purity. See this snap below?

What made today even more perfect is that it is the Sabbath, so even with the minus 5 degrees Fahrenheit temperature outside, still, the four of us are happy to get up, get dressed, and be at church! Yes, the seventh day is our favorite day of the week! Always looked forward after braving the weekdays with a hectic schedule, Saturday offers the best relaxation that come naturally for us. It’s always nice to spend the day at church, with our beautiful church family. The potluck lunch is always delectable, and the fellowship is always enthusing. Someone brought a unique guitar which he offered to the husband to try and oh how we enjoyed that certain piece of musical instrument because of its unique size– so cute! It was our first time to see one very lean and small body acoustic guitar that we were so interested to hold it! Lol. The husband did try it as well as Triz, who was surrounded with spectators when she tried playing it.

Feb. 01, 2014 Snaps!

The first day of the second month of the year came and left, like all other days do. It’s amazing how time flies by so quickly, eh? Even if such is an adage we literally face and live daily, it’s always a wonder to me how things come and go. This year is a very exciting year for my family. There have been initial plans that we’ve laid out last year but there will also be some huge changes on those plans for this year. There will be bittersweet happenings to take effect in the coming days for us and although we dread and we feel excited as well for those things, the husband’s and my mantra has always been to live one day at a time, and to let God do the directing. It has worked well in the past, and I trust that it will work the same in the future.

For now, I am a grateful soul for all the things I am blessed with– big or small. And with a positive spirit, I say, “Bring it on, February!”
