So what if it’s freezing cold? It was below zero but as long as the car is available and my winter gears are here, I mean it when I said “I’ll be there!”. Yep, drove to a friend’s workplace the other day despite the bitterly cold weather. The wintry scenery around us were more than enough to print smiles in our faces. Although freezing, the view is always beautiful to look at.
We went to Mid-State Technical College, some 20 miles from us, to pick up stuff from a friend who works there. Ana, an MSTC staff, handed down a couple bags of outgrown stuff of her kids which I can put in our Balikbayan Box for Guiuan Samar. Since there is no time for delaying as I need the box to be completely packed by tomorrow night because we have planned to ship it on Sunday, ASAP it needed to be for everything to be here. And to see a friend who you haven’t seen in a while? It’s always a JOY!

I brought Ana some of my homemade breads which I have been wanting to share for a long time now, and a serving of the Pancit that I made yesterday. She is one of my favorite friends who I like sharing my cooking with because like my husband and daughter, she is also biased to always rate my kitchen outputs as “Yummy!” or “The Best!” I guess it’s always like that when you’re a biased friend! Ha ha ha!
