Warning: There will be several photos with the same pretty (Lol) faces to load in this post! ;-)

So, another meet-up has happened! This is but my third eyeball experience among my blogger friends after having been a blogger for 6 years now. The first one was meeting Emzkie, a blogger based in Pennsylvania but originally hailing from Davao City. We met up in late March of 2008 in Davao City when we both had the same homecoming schedule. The second was meeting Ces, a blogger based in Texas, and that was in October last year when my family had a trip to Dallas for my husband’s work-related trip. And this time, I got to meet Momi Jessica in flesh, after knowing each other virtually for I think three years now! Correct me Momi Jess if you have counted the exact time since we first knew each other online! :D

Well, to show our extreme happiness after finally seeing each other in person, here’s us, up-close via my own shutter using a “selfie” mode. Haha!

And not only are we enjoying our time together in this picture but we were also having a blast at a great place: Niagara Falls. Yes, we toured the place together for one day, with our families (minus his husband though as he was resting from an overnight duty). Next time, I will be sharing a lot more snaps of us together and it will be even more fun to look at. I think! Lol.

So, what’s the story of this meet-up that we’ve had? Well, Momi Jess is based in Lockport, New York. I have been asking her in the past how far is her place from Niagara Falls and when she told me that she lives less than an hour drive from the Great Falls, I was thrilled. You see, my husband and I have been planning for a road trip to Niagara Falls since last year. It wasn’t pushed through as I was dealing with pregnancy and childbirth with our second daughter. I knew this year will be the perfect timing, and so it happened.

Ah… the joy of road trips!

It was earlier last month when the husband and I have finalized the date of our Niagara Falls adventure. I chatted with Momi Jess about our schedule and asked her if it works well with her as I also invited her to go and have fun at the Falls together. To the delight of my wishing heart was her positive answer, plus, it came with a “Yes” when I asked her if it’s possible for us to spend a night in their place instead of booking for a hotel room. Oh, I was so overjoyed! I knew that Momi Jess and I will surely have a great time together. We both hail from CDO and have a lot of commonalities so I was sure it will be a smooth acquaintance. Plus, we have kids who I was sure will have an easy time to bond with each other.

To make the long story short, there were so much excitement going on between us. I also invited another old blogger friend Ate Tess who lived 30 minutes from Momi Jess and whom she hasn’t met yet ever since but have been friends with her online, too. On the second day of our road trip, we aimed to arrive at Momi Jess’ residence and sure enough, we did, after driving close to a thousand miles from Central Wisconsin.

I could never forget the smiles there were on our faces. We parked at their huge driveway with another car parked ahead owned by her parents-in-law who were there for the afternoon. I saw Momi Jess lounging by their swimming pool with her MIL and never hesitated to call her letting her know of our arrival. We hugged each other and laugh together and her MIL later exclaimed, “I couldn’t believe this is the first time you’ve seen each other in person! It seems like you have been friends ever since!” Sure enough, there was that magical feeling that only genuine friendship can define.

Check out our happy smiles a few moments after we arrived!

Finally met Momi Jess in flesh! Yay!

It surely was a wonderful time! We introduced each other’s families and it was great meeting Momi Jess’ very workaholic and welcoming husband. He offered my daughter Triz their swimming pool to the delight of Triz who was really able to take a dip in their pool which before was only a photograph for us. They showed us their vast property which the husband and I thought was amazing. They had a pond where Momi Jess’ husband took us to a fishing experience and my husband and daughter enjoyed so much. Kevin, Momi Jess’ husband showed us their chickens and everything delightful to our eyes within their property. Plus, Momi Jess’ parents-in-law were also very kind. Just moments after we arrived, my husband and I can already hear our hearts beating with so much thankfulness for The Cassidy’s hospitality.

The fun didn’t end when Ate Tess, the other blogger friend that Momi Jess and I both know finally arrived together with her husband. They went there directly from work so we really appreciated their effort.

After a seemingly endless chats we’ve had, Kevin, Momi Jess’ husband offered a boat ride in their pond for the three of us. How sweet of him, right? I hesitated at first because I was scared I might be too heavy for a boat ride and I would sink in the pond. He he he. It was too fun to let it pass though so yeah, we did have a nice “ladies’ date” at the Cassidy’s Waterpark. :)

Ate Tess would have loved to stay, but her work schedule didn’t permit. She left after our dinner at Momi Jess’ kitchen with so “bitin” time for our countless topics to be discussed. Er, gossiped. Haha! It surely was an awesome moment for the three of us we wished the clock would stop ticking!

We spent our first night at the “Cassidy Hotel” with exceptional accommodation because more than the home that welcomed us, there was love and friendship in the hospitality that they offered. The Cassidy and Duarte kids got along pretty well and our husbands I think, also had mutual friendship that only men can feel, you know what I mean? It was just unfortunate that Kevin has to work as it didn’t give him a lot of time to join us in our planned fun and escapades.

Our second day in New York was scheduled for the Niagara Falls adventure and overall, we had a blast. I thank Momi Jess for joining us in such escapade as it was a lot more fun with them in the Falls. We thought we could leave NY as soon as we were done with the Niagara Falls adventure but the kind Kevin told us to spend another night in their place as it would not be possible for us to be driving after a long day at the Falls. He was right, as we got knocked out after we got home from our adventure.

More than the Niagara Falls trip that my husband fulfilled as his gift to me when he promised before to take me to the place, it was meeting a genuine soul in the person of Momi Jess that made this short road trip extra memorable and special. It’s one of those moments when I thank God for the blessings of real friends.
