Yesterday, we have had a wonderful Sabbath! We always do because Saturday is our favorite day of the week but yesterday was extra special because Anah and her girls spent their Sabbath day with us. It was a great time at church in the morning, the potluck lunch we feasted was as always– delicious! And then, after lunch, we spent an hour at the nursing home a couple blocks from the church to sing with the elderly. A nursing home visitation is our regular activity every 3rd Saturday of the month and the husband and I are so into this. When we got kids, we exposed them to it, too, that now, Triz is a delight to everybody at the Nursing Home as she always sings or leads some action songs together with the husband.

Nursing home visitation is something that my family looks forward to doing every month. It makes us very fulfilled and joyful to be able to spend time with the elderly who enjoy singing and sharing their lives’ testimonies and stories. Personally, I am born with a mission to relate to people. Same thing with my husband. Now that we have a family, the passion to do missionary works has even become more intense. Hopefully, we can do it in the near future.
As for our day yesterday, it was a blast! After the nursing home visit, Anah and her girls came over and spent a few hours with us. It was a pleasure to have them over– the kids had fun playing and we filled our tummies with yummy stuff that my kitchen can offer. It’s always nice to have friends to spend a beautiful day with!
