Do you collect medals as souvenirs? I know of a friend who is a devotee of a particular patron saint and he is into st jude medals as his collections. I thought it is an expensive hobby because some of the medals are gold-plated and are really expensive. I think when it is your will to collect them, you won’t mind the price, right?
My souvenir medals where academic ones; those that I got to receive when I was a student. My mom kept everyone of them until a typhoon hit our place, flooded our home, and took everything away. I was told that none of my personal belongings have been saved after the flood and that hurt me badly. I am just consoled that everything in this world is just temporary so I’ll just dwell on the memories created by those things I used to own but are now a piece of life’s history.
